Call for Speakers for a session at the Science Summit UNGA80 2025 Edition
Fostering Interdisciplinary Education for Human, Animal, and Environmental Health within the Sustainable Development Goals Framework
The Science Summit 2025, scheduled to coincide with the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York from 9 to 26 September 2025, is currently accepting session proposals. This summit aims to explore how science, technology, and innovation can drive progress toward achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within planetary boundaries.
Our EU BEACON One Health Education network is proposing a dedicated session on One Health Education to address the pressing need for interdisciplinary strategies that integrate human, animal, and environmental health. This session will focus on innovative educational frameworks, case studies demonstrating successful implementation, strategies for integrating One Health concepts into existing curricula, and discussions on policy development to support One Health Education.
We invite educators, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners with experience or interest in advancing One Health Education to submit their proposals. Presentations should offer evidence-based insights and practical applications that can inform and inspire global efforts. Please, let us know if interested in being one of the speakers, and feel free to invite other experts in the field to join us. If the session is admitted, all speakers will be invited to attend the event online for free.
